Grabado entre 2003 y 2004, "Atártida" es un álbum de música ambiental con altas dosis de experimentación. A mis oídos, la obra ha resistido el paso del tiempo y sigue resonando con fuerza veinte años después.

"Antártida" destaca por su enfoque minimalista, utilizando un equipo escaso pero poderoso, principalmente centrado en un Juno 106 y el hoy ya arcaico software Logic Audio platinum. El uso del 106 contribuye notablemente a la atmósfera del álbum, donde las texturas y percusiones industriales se entrelazan con paisajes sonoros ambientales. Este disco marcó el inicio en la trayectoria de DEF, siendo el primero bajo ese nombre y dejando una huella indeleble en mi memoria desde que comencé a crear música electrónica en 1997.

Vuelvo a hacerlo público en su versión revisada para celebrar su vigésimo aniversario.

Recorded between 2003 and 2004, "Antártida" is an ambient music album with high doses of experimentation. To my ears, the work has withstood the test of time and continues to resonate strongly twenty years later.

"Antártida" stands out for its minimalist approach, using a scarce yet powerful setup, primarily centered around a Juno 106 and the now archaic Logic Audio Platinum software. The use of the 106 significantly contributes to the album's atmosphere, where industrial textures and percussions intertwine with ambient soundscapes. This record marked the beginning of DEF's journey, being the first under that name and leaving an indelible mark on my memory since I started creating electronic music in 1997.

I'm making it public again in its revised version to celebrate its twentieth anniversary.
